Moving Forward

Moving Forward is a series of educational materials created by RehabCare for various patient diagnoses.  Education booklets provide patients and their caregivers a diagnosis overview along with information on bowel and bladder management, diet and exercise, sexuality, travel and resources, as they relate to their illness or injury.

 

LifeSpine

The LifeSpine program is designed for patients in RehabCare outpatient sites who are experiencing back pain and dysfunction.  LifeSpine incorporates a triangle of treatment approach, including an objective evaluation, customized treatment plan and education on protecting the spine and performing safe exercises at home.

 

Smart Moves

Smart Moves is designed to promote health and wellness through safe, effective exercise and education programs for residents in assisted living facilities and retirement communities.  A standardized senior fitness test is given to participants initially and at regular intervals to assess their performance across a broad range of physical abilities.

Wiihabilitation

The Wii, Nintendo’s sports-themed package of virtual reality games, has become an important tool in rehabilitation.  RehabCare has developed Wiihabilitation, clinical guidelines which explain how the Wii can be reasonably incorporated into therapy while fulfilling the requirements for medical necessity.
