OUR HOSPITALS

Freestanding Rehabilitation Hospitals and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals (LTACHs)

Through our Hospital division, we own and operate freestanding IRFs and LTACHs, primarily developed through joint ventures with market-leading acute care providers.

Our IRFs are equipped to treat patients with complex physical and cognitive problems and are designed to provide a home-like environment that promotes healing and a return to independence.  Our hospitals operate a full range of inpatient programs delivered by a multidisciplinary team of highly trained professionals.  Many of our IRFs also provide outpatient services.  Our hospitals are accredited by The Joint Commission and some have received specialty CARF accreditation.

Our LTACHs provide care to patients suffering from chronic diseases or medically complex conditions that require specialized long-term acute care.  The care provided is more individualized and resource-intensive than is provided in a skilled nursing facility and is based on the patient’s medical needs, tolerance for therapy and desired outcomes.  Specialized services at our LTACHs include an intensive care unit for patients requiring high-level monitoring and intervention, wound care, pulmonary/ventilator treatment and transitional rehabilitation programs.
