Opened in April 2008, Northland LTAC Hospital is a 35-bed Long-Term Acute Care Hospital offering specialized inpatient programs including a six-bed High Observation Unit and telemetry rooms. We strive to set the standard for quality healthcare services through our sophisticated technology, medical and rehabilitation services and our interdisciplinary approach. We provide our physicians and employees with the tools and support they need to achieve successful outcomes.
Individuals who have been impaired by an injury or illness face an uncertain future. By providing a supportive, caring environment and incorporating aggressive clinical and therapeutic intervention, we strive to help each patient achieve optimal recovery. We provide care to patients suffering from chronic diseases or medically complex conditions that require specialized extended hospital care.
All treatment is individualized based on the patient’s medical needs, tolerance for therapy and desired outcomes.
Northland LTAC Hospital is a joint venture between North Kansas City Hospital, Liberty Hospital and RehabCare. Specialty Programs
- High Observation Unit is a six-bed, private unit designed for patients requiring complex medical services and close monitoring.
- Pulmonary / Ventilator Program is specialized for patients with respiratory disorders who may have tracheotomies, ventilators or require extensive respiratory treatments to maintain adequate breathing.
- Wound Care Program is designed for patients with compromised skin integrity including:
– Pressure Ulcers
– Radiation Tissue Damage
– Diabetic Ulcers
– Surgical Wounds
– Burns
– Trauma
– Ischemic Disease
- Transitional or Low Tolerance Rehabilitation Program is a specialized physical, speech and occupational therapy program for medically complex patients who are unable to tolerate more than three hours of therapy a day.
