Chairman of the Board of Directors since August 2006 and a director since February 2006. Mr. Rich is the Chief Financial Officer for the Missouri Historical Society and former CFO of Brown Shoe Company.

John H. Short, Ph.D.

President and Chief Executive Officer since May 2004 and a director since 1991. Dr. Short formerly served as managing partner of Phase 2 Consulting, a management and economic consulting firm for the healthcare industry.

Colleen Conway-Welch, Ph.D., CNM, FAAN, FACNM

Director since September 2000. Dr. Conway-Welch serves as the dean and a professor at Vanderbilt University’s School of Nursing.

Christopher T. Hjelm

Director since July 2007.  Mr. Hjelm is Chief Information Officer for The Kroger Company.

Anthony S. Piszel, CPA

Director since October 2005. Mr. Piszel serves as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer for The First American Corporation.

Suzan L. Rayner, MD, MPH

Director since July 2005.  Dr. Rayner serves as Executive Vice President Medical Affairs/Medical Director at Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital.

Larry Warren

Director since October 2005.  Mr. Warren is the Chief Executive Officer of Howard University Hospital and former CEO (retired) of the University of Michigan Hospital.

Theodore M. Wight

Director since 1991. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Wight served as a general partner of the general partners of Walden Investors., a venture capital business.
