Patricia Henry
President
Patricia Henry is President of RehabCare, assuming that position in December 2011. She became Executive Vice President of RehabCare’s Skilled Nursing Rehabilitation Services division when RehabCare and Peoplefirst Rehabilitation joined forces in June 2011. She has more than 25 years of experience in rehabilitation services, which has given her an in-depth understanding of the operational elements and regulatory/reimbursement environments of various post-acute settings. A licensed Speech Pathologist, Ms. Henry holds a Master’s degree from Ohio State University and is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She also is active with the Texas Health Care Association in addition to her role with the American Healthcare Association.
Mary Pat Welc
Senior Vice President, Hospital Rehabilitation Services
Mary Pat Welc joined RehabCare in 1996 as a clinical consultant. She was promoted to Senior Vice President of Hospital Rehabilitation Services -- East in 2004, and assumed responsibility for the total division in 2007. Prior to joining RehabCare, Ms. Welc worked in the administration of Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities in several large not-for-profit health systems in the East and Midwest.
Ms. Welc received her BS in Speech from Iowa State University and her MA in Communication Disorders. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech and Language Pathology from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association and she has been a Board Member of the American Medical Rehabilitation Providers Association since 2009.
Katherine Gilchrist
Senior Vice President, Finance
Katherine Gilchrist is Senior Vice President, Finance, for RehabCare. She has held that position since RehabCare and Peoplefirst Rehabilitation joined forces in June 2011. She joined Peoplefirst in 2007 after serving as the Senior Vice President, Finance for ResCare, a former publicly traded healthcare services company also located in Louisville. Ms. Gilchrist has over 25 years experience in the healthcare industry and is the Chief Financial Officer for RehabCare. She is a certified public accountant and graduated from the University of West Florida with a Bachelor degree in Accounting.
Mary Van de Kamp
Senior Vice President of Clinical Operations
Mary Van de Kamp is Senior Vice President of Clinical Operations for RehabCare. She has held that position since RehabCare and Peoplefirst Rehabilitation joined forces in June 2011. She began with Peoplefirst in 1995 as a speech pathologist and has held operations and clinical management positions. Ms. Van de Kamp has a Master’s Degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of Wisconsin.
Roger Byrne
Division Vice President and Chief Information Officer
Roger Byrne is Division Vice President and Chief Information Officer of RehabCare. He has held that position since RehabCare and Peoplefirst Rehabilitation joined forces in June 2011. Mr. Byrne joined RehabCare as a Financial Analyst in 1999, and has held various finance and accounting roles of increasing responsibility over the years. Immediately preceding June 2011, he led the project that converted RehabCare’s clinical, billing and time-keeping system in its 1,500+ therapy programs. Mr. Byrne is a certified public accountant, and prior to joining RehabCare, he worked in the public accounting industry. He graduated from St. Louis University with bachelor degrees in Accounting and Information Systems Management.
Lore Brownson
Vice President and Chief Counsel
Lore Brownson is Vice President and Chief Counsel for RehabCare. She has held that position since RehabCare and Peoplefirst joined forces in June 2011. She joined Peoplefirst in 1999 as Director of Medicare Claims and Appeals. She joined the Law Department in 2001 as Operations Counsel and was promoted to Sr. Director, Nursing Center Division and Peoplefirst Rehabilitation Counsel in 2005. Ms. Brownson was promoted to VP, Nursing Center Division and Peoplefirst Rehabilitation Counsel in 2007. Prior to obtaining her Juris Doctor degree in 1997, Ms. Brownson received her BS in Nursing in 1983 and worked as a registered nurse for 10 years in a variety of acute care hospital clinical settings.
Marty Mann
Senior Vice President, Business Development
Marty Mann is Senior Vice President, Business Development, of Hospital Rehabilitation Services for RehabCare. Mr. Mann is focused on developing client relationships for management, consulting and joint venture partnerships with hospitals and health systems throughout the country. Prior to joining RehabCare in 2004, he was Vice President of Sales for Cardinal Health and served as Vice President of Sales at CIC Corp., a provider of maintenance risk management for high-tech capital equipment in the healthcare market. He has over 24 years of healthcare sales and consulting experience. Mr. Mann earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Miami University, Oxford, OH.
Jeff Pickering
Vice President of Sales/Business Development
Jeff Pickering is Vice President of Sales/Business Development, Skilled Nursing Rehabilitation Services, for RehabCare. Prior to joining RehabCare, he was Vice President of Business Development with Cogent Healthcare, a leading provider of hospital medicine programs and services across the country. In 2007 he led the Sales and Business Development activities of AllianceCare, a senior services company. He has also held leadership roles at MedAssets and Novation. Mr. Pickering graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelors of Business Administration.
